Our Campaign - A Thank You

As we approach election day on Monday, October 20th, I'd like to take a minute to thank some of the amazing people that have helped me get to this point. 

First, a huge thank you to my family, my wife Elizabeth and boys Sawyer & Cohen. Running for office (while also changing day jobs), and maintaining farm, band, sports, etc. would be impossible without your ongoing support and patience.

As an extension to that, thanks to my parents, my dad Stan, who inspired my political journey and who has always been a role model, my mom, for her passion, fire and support whenever I've needed it. And to my extended family, who have always helped guide and encourage me.

Thank you to all those who helped on the campaign, and especially Corey & Dillan, who helped me with all my communications and marketing, including videos, posts, website, etc. It's a ton of work and you take it on with a smile - thank you.

To all those who helped build and distribute signs, its again a huge undertaking - I appreciate it. And to all the friends in my life who take the time to listen and test my ideas for our region over a coffee or beer, you've helped me more than you know.

I'd also like to thank all the candidates running in our region. It takes a lot to put your name forward. Yes its a lot of work, but its also exposing yourself to some who simply want to take their pound of flesh, whether in person or online. We do it because we're passionate about service and believe in working to make things better. Congratulations and good luck all!

On that note, I'd like to thank Ben Jespersen. While we are competitors for the division 3 council seat, we share a love for our division and county. Ben has worked tremendously hard this campaign, and would make an amazing councillor if he's elected Monday. And if so, I'll happily offer him my full support. And if I'm elected, I hope we can work together in support of our county - collectively we have a lot to offer.

Thank you to those who have endorsed my campaign, specifically Phyllis Kobasiuk and Wayne Rothe. You both are legends in municipal politics in our region, and your endorsements have helped lift me in this campaign. If I'm successful I promised to serve as best I can and uphold the faith you've put in me. And to all those other leaders who have given me support, encouragement and advice, thank you!

Advance polls are open today at Muir Lake Community League & Hall from 10am - 4pm. Please vote today if you're able, or of course on Monday, October 20th. 

To those in Division 3, I look forward to the opportunity to serve you if I'm successful on Monday. I promise to work hard in the office and do my best to uphold the best interests of our division and county. 

It's been a heckuva ride - I've learned a ton and no matter what the voters decide, I'm grateful for the entire experience. Thank you!
